Put today’s selection first
Group daily pastries separately from cakes and drinks. Enter each variety as an actual product, so a name or price change can be reviewed on its own. The sample shows a croissant, two cake presentations and tea rather than a restaurant’s main courses.
Make slice and whole-cake prices unambiguous
Create separate products such as “Lemon cake — slice” and “Lemon cake — whole”. State the verified size or serving unit in the description. A photo of a whole cake should not imply that a slice price buys the entire cake.
Keep availability aligned with the counter
Use the product availability controls for sold-out varieties and check the public menu after the update. This displays current choices; it is not stock accounting, delivery scheduling or a custom-cake ordering workflow.
Choose accurate, lightweight photos
Use photos of the presentation actually served and check their crop on a phone. Text and prices must remain useful even without a photo. Add only allergen information your team can verify; neither the example nor Luca certifies allergy safety.
A few useful answers
Frequently asked questions
Can I list slices and whole cakes?
Yes. Use distinct products with clear names, descriptions and prices. The demo does not model order variations.
Can I hide a sold-out variety?
Use availability controls and confirm the result on the guest menu. This is separate from stock management.
Can guests order a custom cake here?
No. The menu presents products; custom orders, payment and delivery are handled through your existing process.
